Why Providers Choose Us
Same-Week Access
Most patients are seen within 24–48 hours of completing intake. No months-long waitlists — your referrals get in.
Closed-Loop Communication
With patient consent, you receive confirmation once care is underway. You are never left wondering what happened.
Genuinely Collaborative
We align with your treatment plan and coordinate across providers. Your clinical perspective is part of the care — not an afterthought.
Full-Spectrum Services
Psychiatry, therapy, neurofeedback, and BrainView brain mapping, including non-medication options that complement existing care.
Why Providers Choose Us
When your patient needs more than a prescription — we are the call you make.
For Medical Providers
Mental health conditions are more prevalent in primary care than most protocols reflect. When depression goes unaddressed in a chronic pain patient, when anxiety drives somatic complaints, or when ADHD undermines medication adherence, the presenting problem doesn’t resolve because the underlying one hasn’t been treated. We are your dedicated psychiatric partner, experienced in the complex co-occurring presentations most common in primary and specialty care.
Primary care patients have an unaddressed mental health condition
Suicidal ideation
Active self-harm
Homicidal ideation
Psychosis / hallucinations
Severe mania

How to Refer
Call, email, or send your patient our contact information, our coordinator follows up the same day. Questions about clinical fit? Our team is available Mon–Fri, 9 AM–6 PM.
Your patient. Your therapeutic relationship.
We are here to fill the gaps — not replace what you’re doing.
When your patient needs psychiatric evaluation or medication management, we step in as your clinical partner, not a substitute. We don’t pull patients away from their therapist. We communicate openly (with patient consent), align with your treatment goals, and treat your ongoing therapeutic work as the anchor of their care.
What makes this partnership genuinely valuable isn’t just what we do, it is what we offer your patients that therapy alone can’t. Neurofeedback and BrainView brain mapping are tools that directly complement and enhance the therapy you’re already doing.
Fast Patient Access
Quick, reliable intake — most patients seen within 24–48 hours of completing paperwork.
Responsive Communication
Case updates and consultations with your consent — you are never left in the dark about a shared patient.
Collaborative by Design
We align with your treatment plan. Shared notes available with consent. Your clinical input guides our work.
Expert Psychiatric Depth
Board-certified team with experience in complex, treatment-resistant, and co-occurring presentations.
Medication Management
Neurofeedback Therapy
Non-Medication & Evidence Based
Neurofeedback — A Powerful Complement to Therapy
Why this matters for your patients: Many therapists find that patients with ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, or mood dysregulation make faster, deeper progress in sessions after starting NFB training, because the underlying brain patterns that were limiting the work have begun to shift.
BrainView — Objective Data That Informs Your Work Too
QEEG Bran Mapping & Diagnostic Tool
BrainView produces a detailed visual map of your patient’s brain activity, showing exactly which regions are over- or under-active and what neurological patterns are driving their symptoms. That data isn’t just useful for us. Shared with your consent, it can meaningfully inform the therapeutic work, clarify a confusing diagnostic picture, and explain why certain approaches have or haven’t been working.
For Schools & Educators
School counselors and administrators see the behavioral and academic consequences of untreated mental health conditions every day. Psych Matters makes the referral pathway simple, moves quickly, and communicates with families throughout, so you can stay focused on supporting the student inside the building.
Featured Service for Schools
The American Academy of Pediatrics rates neurofeedback a Level 1 evidence-based treatment for childhood ADHD — the same evidentiary weight as stimulant medication, without the side effects.
We understand that parents can be resistant to medication and we respect that. When you refer a student to Psych Matters, you’re not automatically steering a family toward a prescription. Neurofeedback and BrainView brain mapping give families a science-backed, drug-free pathway first. We work closely with you, communicate clearly with families, and when clinically appropriate we can provide documentation to support 504 plans, IEP processes, or accommodation requests.
Individual Therapy
One-on-one counseling for anxiety, depression, stress, and emotional regulation challenges — with therapists experienced in adolescents.
Teen & Family Counseling
Collaborative support for students and families navigating academic, social, and behavioral pressures together.
Psychiatric Evaluations
Comprehensive evaluations and medication management when clinically appropriate — including ADHD assessments for accommodations support.
BrainView Brain Mapping
Objective neurological assessment that identifies what’s driving a student’s challenges — guides treatment with clinical precision.

For Community Partners
Community organizations are often the first point of contact for people who need mental health support but don’t know where to go. Whether you’re a social worker managing a caseload, an EAP coordinating employee care, or a nonprofit serving underserved populations, we have built our practice to be an accessible, responsive partner for the communities you serve. Below is a breakdown of how we work with each type of partner, and what makes referring to us the right fit.
Social Workers & Case Managers
We accept Medicaid and Medicare, handle all insurance verification on our end, and offer sliding scale for patients who can’t afford care. When you refer a client, you get a responsive team that closes the loop — so you know your referral didn’t fall into a void. We can coordinate with your case management notes with consent.
Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) & HR Teams
For employees referred through an EAP or HR wellness program, we provide timely psychiatric and therapeutic care that fits around working hours, including telehealth throughout New York and Texas. We understand the importance of discretion and confidentiality in workplace-referred care.
Community Health Centers & Nonprofits
If your organization serves underserved or underinsured populations, we want to be on your referral list. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and most major insurance plans. No patient is turned away due to cost. We can establish a formal referral relationship that makes the handoff consistent and trackable.
Hospital Discharge Planners
For patients being discharged from inpatient psychiatric or medical settings who need step-down outpatient care, we can typically see them within 24–48 hours of reaching out. Our telehealth availability across New York and Texas removes the geographic barriers that often delay post-discharge follow-up.
Faith-Based Organizations & Community Leader
Pastors, community leaders, and faith-based organizations are often the first people someone reaches out to in crisis. We’re here to be the clinical resource you trust to take it from there — compassionately, quickly, and without barriers. We’re happy to meet with your leadership to discuss how to work together effectively.
